Holy Week Saturday April 11, 2020 Intecession for deliverance from falseness

One more day of prayer has come to me, and one more overarching area of sin in our nation needs to be confessed.  There is glaring lack of truthfulness, a great underlying dishonesty that manifests itself in many ways today.  Facts are set aside feelings.  We actually hear it said things like "my truth may not be someone elses truth".  People feel totally free to twist "data" to suit what they want others to believe.  It truly is as they say, if you keep telling a lie often enough people will start believing it, and the bigger the lie the easier it is to pass it off as truth.

We are trading reason and logic and common sense for people trying to manipulate and control through questionable accusations and demonstrably false narratives.  Some are blind to their biases, but for many it is calculated.  Truth is truly a pecious commodity.  From the social media post that slanders another person to the national news reporter with a malicious bias, basic honesty is very often in short supply.  And Jesus makes it clear who is a liar and the father of lies; and the accuser of the brethren  (John 8:44; Revelation 12:10).

Jesus is "the Way, THE TRUTH, and the Life. . . " (John 14:6), and on this Holy Saturday when Jesus entered the regions of hell to fight for the salvation of humanity, let us pray against the unholy falsity that is undermining our nation.
