Easter Monday April 13, 2020: Next stop Pentecost
April 13, 2020, 8:00 AM

The Christian experience does not end with Easter, as meaningful as it is!  Jesus let His disciples know that it was critical that they have another profound encounter with God.  "I am going to send you what my father pomised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high. (Luke 24:49).  There are many other references to this.

Jesus knew they had the desire to be faithful, and even the love but He knew they lacked the power for follow through.  How true to reality; so many are sincere but lack the power of their convictions.  The question is implicit: is that the state we are resigned to, wanting to do good but being betrayed by our inner weakness?

Jesus says no, that is not the best we can do, which would really be to say that's the best He can do in us.  He says if you will wait for it, if you will seek until you find, He has an answer to our inner weakness.  If we want it bad enough.

It's called Pentecost.
